A Personal Letter to You

My dear friends,

This is a season of joy—a time to cherish family, friends, loved ones, and the celebration of Christ’s birth. It’s a moment to share gifts, gratitude, and connection. Yet, I know that some of you may feel disconnected, burdened by sadness, or overwhelmed by disillusionment during this time.

I want to share some thoughts with you.

————————————————-

I hear you. I feel the heaviness in your heart, the ache of wondering why you should keep moving forward when the world seems indifferent to your efforts. It’s a lonely place, isn’t it? That space where the noise of doubt drowns out hope, where every step feels like walking uphill in the dark. I’ve been there too. And in moments like these, when life feels impossibly hard, I want you to hear this truth: You are not alone. Not now, not ever.

There is something deeply sacred in your struggle, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. You are being shaped, my dear ones. The Bhagavad Gita reminds us, “The soul is never born and never dies. It is not destroyed when the body is destroyed” (2:20). You are eternal, far greater than this fleeting pain. Life may be testing you, but it is not breaking you—it is revealing the infinite strength already within you.

I know it feels like your efforts are in vain. I know it feels like the universe is telling you to give up. But can I tell you a secret? Those whispers of despair—those thoughts that you don’t matter, that you can’t make a difference—they are lies. The truth is written in your very existence: you are here for a reason. Even if you cannot see it, your life has already touched others in ways you cannot fathom. Every smile you’ve given, every moment of kindness, every attempt you’ve made to do something good, no matter how small—it all matters.

Krishna speaks to you in these moments, saying, “Perform your duty equipoised, O Arjuna, abandoning all attachment to success or failure. Such equanimity is called yoga” (2:48). You are not meant to carry the weight of the outcome; that belongs to the Divine. Your only task is to keep walking, to keep showing up with faith, with love, with the knowledge that your path is sacred simply because it is yours.

And I want you to know this: even in your darkest moments, God is with you. Krishna says, “I am the source of all creation; everything emanates from Me. The wise who know this worship Me with all their heart” (10:8). Right now, as you read these words, the Divine is closer to you than your breath. Can you feel it? That tiny spark of something inside you that refuses to give up—that is God’s love burning quietly in your soul, waiting for you to notice it again.

So, why should you go on? Because you are needed. Because the story of your life is not over, and the next chapter may hold the joy you can’t yet see. Because even in your pain, you are growing. “Out of compassion for them, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy the darkness born of ignorance with the shining lamp of knowledge” (10:11). You are not forgotten, my friend. You are not unseen.

When it all feels like too much, let go. Place your burdens at the feet of God, and simply say, “I surrender.” You don’t have to carry this alone. You don’t have to be perfect, or strong, or anything other than what you are in this moment. That is enough.

Take it one breath at a time. Wake up tomorrow and do one small thing for yourself or someone else. Whisper a prayer. Light a candle. Remind yourself of this truth: you are loved, beyond measure, just as you are.

And when you doubt, when the darkness presses in, remember this: “In the material world, every endeavor is covered with fault, just as fire is covered by smoke. Therefore, one should not give up work born of his nature, O son of Kunti, even if such work is full of fault” (18:48). Keep going, not because it is easy, but because it is what your soul was made to do.

I am with you in spirit. I am walking beside you in this journey, as are countless others who love you, even if you can’t see them right now. And most of all, God is with you. The road is long, but you are stronger than you know.

With all my love and faith,

A friend who believes in you.
